Writing is like cooking, if you spill something, you should make it look like part of the act.

sisters

in my writing class we have been working on poetry... so i have reworked one of mine.

Sisters
Lexi Lee

I love my sister
But when I was 8 and she 2
I would make the bargain
For a cheap penny or two

When I was 8 and she 2
She stole everyone’s heart
For a cheap penny or two
And left me with the ponies and dolls

She stole everyone’s heart
From the guys who came around
And left me with the ponies and dolls
Too suffer the most

The guys who came around
And made you cry
Too suffer the most
Only I can do that

He made you cry
I will beat that guy
Only I can do that
And break his nose

I will beat that guy
My little sister
And break his nose
Together we’ll laugh and cry

My little sister
I would make the bargain
Together we’ll laugh and cry
I love my little sister

The Run on Cliché

Blonde as Barbie. Eyes
As curious as a dead cat.

Like a beehive
Give It an arm
and a leg.

She’s few
And far between in
Blood, Sweat and tears.

If you can’t do the time
Get two to Tango

Hold your spitting image
With your tongue.

Tomorrow is another
Greener side,
someday

Party in the mud
With a stick

I’m giving it all
She’s got, captain.

Hell is Living with Other People

one again this isn't about anyone
I did your chores last night
And paid your half of the gas bill
Because it was past due

I did not appreciate having to
Clean the bathroom and the kitchen
And pay everything for you.

Am I expecting you to pay me back?
Yes, I am.
Don’t make me feel regret

When I go to the gym
If I don’t work out
Then I will accept the consequences.

I appreciate the words of praise
It doesn’t compensate
The amount missing from my account

I hate to emit my lack of
A heart
My time somewhere else is better spent

So please find a way to repay me,
Your loving Roommate
